As a mom of an 18 months baby, I understand you very well - Sometimes feeding a baby makes us mad. I've had similar problems too. But I'm always trying to get out of this trouble by applying various methods. And one of my proven ways to solve baby feeding problems is baby finger food ideas.
As you know, babies tend to put everything in their mouths, so you may benefit this habit and offer them some finger foods he will enjoy. Here are some fruit and vegetable baby finger food ideas to apply just today to eliminate baby feeding problems:
1. Fruits for Baby Finger Food
Slices/small pieces of:
Banana
Mango
Pear
Peach
Apple
Melon
Avocado
Sweet kiwi
You may try to offer all the above mentioned fruit finger foods as separate delicacies or as a mixed fruit salad. Try various ways to discover which fruit your baby prefers. Note: Be careful to use only ripe fruits.
2. Vegetables Baby Finger-Food:
Soft cooked dices/slices/sticks of:
Sweet potato
Carrot
Broccoli
Cauliflower
Sweet red pepper
Small bits of green beans
Try all these vegetables to discover your baby's taste. You may also mix some or all of these vegetables to make a healthy and delicious veggie salad. Then put a plate of such mixed salad in front of your toddler and just watch what is eating best. Especially, carrot is a superb baby food that is rich in various vitamins and minerals required for your toddler's physical growth.
Also you may make such a tasty fruit salad (it's my own recipe). I also call it homemade yogurt: Mix a bowl of sour milk with very small dices of peach, banana, pear or various kinds of berries and add a bit amount of sugar or better honey. You may mix the fruits which you have at home. It's just my suggestion. But be careful not to mix sweet fruit with sour ones. Your baby/toddler will most likely eat this tasty and healthy food with great pleasure.
